I read the blog over at Boundless. It’s really good and it’s geared towards single people who are college aged- 35ish. It’s got some great insight in the articles that are online. I went out over the weekend with a guy that I met at the airport while trying to pull my suitcase off of the carousel. I was on the phone, holding my purse and carry-on bag while grabbing at my bag. He came up behind me and pulled the bag of the ramp. I turned and thanked him and then proceeded to head to the exit. He stopped me and at first I was a little annoyed, but he told me this really funny knock knock joke that caused me to laugh. Once you got me laughing you are so in. We talked while we both waited for our rides and since no one ever picks me or him up on time we were able to have a nice conversation. Now, I apparently haven’t learned my lesson about arguing on the Internet, because I seem to do it often enough. Regardless, the sheer amount of logical fallacies that exists irritates me. I cannot seem to get involved with someone’s discussion without at least one of them popping up. The most common is the ad hominem. This usually involves someone calling me crazy or something similar. Naturally, this is then sandwiched with the comment that makes it all okay! This is an observation, not an insult.
Of course, these individuals have commit themselves to decades of study regarding the mental condition and deficiencies therein. Because of this, alas, I have no other course available to me other than committing myself to the nearest mental institution. Thank you, Doctor. I would never have known without your expert opinion.

Well…I was back on wednesday morning…but then tiredness, body-ache and work too priority before getting back to this online den of mine!!
It had been a good long weekend…I set out on friday night in a train to Mangalore and as expected found myself amidst a gang of 65+ yr old men and women…I suddenly had this feeling of being on my way to Amarnath, Vaishnodevi, Kashi, Haridwar or some other pilgrimage place…it was just an instant feeling!!
The worst thing about being in the company of the senior citizens in a train is that they switch off the lights when its 10pm and in most cases also switch off the godforsaken fans citing cold as the reason…since they get air from the window peeps, the ones (like me) on the upper berth are gone for a toss. For the past 6 weeks, I’ve done almost nothing but sleep when I’m not working and work when I’m not sleeping. For me, this type of behavior cannot be sustained for very long without it effecting a semipermanent state of being and pretty much wiping out whatever ‘routine’ I had before that as a reasonably functional person. This is a very bad thing.
When I lose myself into something like that, I forget about, well, to be honest with myself and you, almost everything else. And it isn’t just that I forget, it’s also that I become unable to actually DO other things, particularly otherwise normal tasks, as though I am repelled from those things by the inertia of the “new” routine. Seriously, check this out, in a survey, 74% the women said they were not ready for babies. Yet in that, 26% don’t use any form of contraceptives at all. For a developed nation that separates church and state, this is PATHETIC.I mean, oy wtf ladies? This is Singapore, we don’t have Sarah Palin here. The law also means crazed anti-choice activists cannot attack you for buying birth control and anyway, you can’t buy it from anyone but a doctor.
Let’s clear some misconceptions about conception (HAH) up. First of all, unless you’re infertile, you RISK GETTING PREGNANT if you have sex without a condom or if you aren’t on oral contraceptives. End of story. No ‘eh’s, ‘but’s or ‘I know someone who knows someone’ here. You have sex, you don’t use protection, you aren’t infertile, you get pregnant. If you don’t, count yourself lucky but you won’t always be lucky.
